I have just discovered Bobbilicious gluten-free baked goods and man, are they tasty. I’ve tried a lot of gluten-free cookies, brownies, bars and other baked treats from working with the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA). Some of them are fantastic and some of them aren’t as great. Bobbilicious definitely falls into the “fantastic” category.
I tried the “b. chocolate chip walnut” cookie and the “b. oatmeal raisiny.” For me, a good cookie can hold its own weight and not break when you pick it up. The “b. chocolate chip walnut” definitely withstood the test. (I know it doesn’t look like it in the picture since the cookie is a little cracked, but that was my fault – I totally dropped it on my desk! Even with the cracks, it didn’t break.) Even though the cookie holds up, it’s not hard at all and has a soft, moist texture. Given the texture of the cookies, they’d make great ends to a gluten-free ice cream sandwich. While the cookie isn’t quite as sweet as your classic chocolate chip cookie, it’s delicious (or should I say bobbilicious?) nonetheless.
The Bobbilicious website shows the “b. oatmeal raisiny” as a cookie, but the sample I received was shaped like a brownie. Either way, I think this one is pretty good too. I liked the “b. chocolate chip walnut” better, but this is a close second. I was surprised by the thickness of the bar, but in a good way. I find that some gluten-free versions taste fantastic, but don’t quite have the consistency down. Bobbilicious certainly figured it out!
Bobblicious has other cookie varieties available. Right now, they are only available in select stores, but keep an eye out for them near you! (Did I mention in addition to being gluten-free, they are vegan and cater to food allergies and intolerances as well? There’s more info on the site.) Check them out and if you get a chance to try them, let me know what you think!
