I am always impressed by how resourceful people can be with Crunchmaster gluten-free crackers. During our 2010 Holiday Dips and Dishes Contest, we had submissions like Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Muffins and Tex Mex Turkey Meatloaf. In 2011, our blogger friends whipped up Gluten-Free Stuffed Mushrooms and Cranberry Brie. This year, I’m excited to see what everyone cooks up for our Gluten-Free Holiday Recipe Contest. (Did I mention the Grand Prize is $500 cash?)

Adding to this year’s excitement, Crunchmaster has two new products that are sure to fuel some creativity: Grammy Crisps and Cheezy Crisps.

Grammy Crisps are the perfect marriage of rice crackers and graham cracker flavor. They have that sweet cinnamon and sugar coating, but don’t get soggy or stale.  Our Healthcare Relations Manager Kristin Voorhees put it best: “Perfect afternoon snack! Gluten-Free “Cinnamon Toast Crunch” anyone?

Cheezy Crisps are Grammy’s cheddar-flavored brother. These crackers immediately stand out from other Crunchmaster products, as they boast a smaller, triangular shape. But each bite packs in the cheesy flavor. Like other cheese-flavored snacks, Cheezy Crisps do leave behind a dusting of cheddar flavor on your fingers – but I think that makes them all the more appealing to kids.

If you like cheesy snacks, give these a try.  You won’t be sorry!

So, how would one use these crackers beyond everyday snacking? Here are some of my outside-the-box ideas:

  • Mix crumbled Grammy Crisps with raisins and toasted almonds. Stir into yogurt or sprinkle over ice cream.
  • Crush Grammy Crisps, then combine with cinnamon, brown sugar and butter to top a gluten-free apple crisp.
  • Melt white chocolate and drizzle over Grammy Crisps. Let set, then serve with hot cocoa.
  • Crush Cheezy Crisps in a food processor.  Mix with goat cheese, then roll into a ball. Roll cheese balls in crushed nuts, then let set in refrigerator.
  • Finely crush Cheezy Crisps and use in place of bread crumbs for gluten-free meatballs.
  • Dip Cheezy Crisps and Grammy Crisps in peanut butter. Place on cookie sheet and chill in freezer until peanut butter is hard. Dip in melted chocolate, then place back on cookie sheet and chill in refrigerator until chocolate is set.
