Almost everyone loves waffles, especially kids. However, living gluten-free can sometimes mean that it is not always easy to find a tasty waffle when you want one. To make matters worse most mornings are far too hectic to spare the time to make gluten-free waffles from scratch and I have never been a big fan of the too often junky frozen waffles. This can turn tasty gluten-free waffles into a rare treat. At least that was the case until I crossed paths with Van’s Gluten-free Flax Waffles.
These hearty and healthy gluten-free waffles not only taste great but are also easy to make and easy to find. Their amazing flavor and crunchy yet fluffy texture makes them taste as good as and maybe even better than traditional waffles. Along with being gluten-free, all of Van’s Gluten-Free Waffles are also egg and dairy free. Almost as important as what these waffles are free of is what they are made of. Since they are made with whole grains and are sweetened with fruit juice instead of corn syrup I can give them to the kids as often as they want and still feel like I’m providing them with a healthy breakfast.
In addition to Gluten-Free Flax Waffles, Van’s Gluten-Free Waffles are available in several other great varieties including blueberry, apple cinnamon, totally natural, and plain minis. If waffles are not your thing, Van’s also makes Gluten-Free Cinnamon French Toast Sticks. I have not tried those yet, but I’m very curious considering how great the waffles tasted.
It is important to note that not all of the waffles Van’s makes are gluten-free. It is easy to tell which ones are because all gluten-free versions are clearly labeled Wheat-Gluten Free on the box. To make sure you are buying the right version it is always a good idea to take the time to read the label.
