Most mornings my breakfast consists of hot cereal with millet, berries and almond milk or Greek yogurt with whatever fruit is in season plus some nuts. But some days, you just need a bagel – a gluten-free one, of course. Which is why I was excited to remember that Schar had recently sent NFCA some of their new products to test out. Enter Gluten-Free Cinnamon Raisin Bagels! I prefer my bagels be dense (a la New York) and often toasted to a nice crisp. (I know, it’s sort of a Catch-22). After smothering it with some natural peanut butter, my craving was satisfied!
As for their other flavor – Plain – I was lucky enough to try this bagel back at Schar USA’s Grand Opening in June. My favorite way to enjoy a plain bagel? With lox, cream cheese and tomato!
