At least once a week, a package shows up on my desk filled with gluten-free goodies to try out. This week, I got a special delivery from Jo-Anne at Bee Nut Free with samples of her natural, organic, and of course, gluten-free snacks.
Bee Nut Free doesn’t just make gluten-free products. They make free-from-just-about-everything products. All of their snacks are free from milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, and gluten. They have a pretty good selection to choose from, too:
These bars may be free from the top allergens, but they’re certainly not free from great tasting ingredients. I tried out the chocolate chip granola bar bites and was impressed with the perfect blend of flavor and crunch. With only 110 calories for 2 bars, these bars taste great and serve as a great snack to knock the edge off in between meals. They’re great for lunchboxes, briefcases, or just a snack at home.
While I like the taste of the bars, what really stands out for me more than taste is Bee Nut Free’s total commitment to creating products that are safe for people with food allergies to eat. Bee Nut Free “understands and respects food allergies because we live with them.” They conduct routine tests to make sure there is no cross-contamination between products. You don’t have to search through their website to find information about food allergens; it’s all right there on their homepage. The company only uses natural ingredients that are certified nut-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free. Born from a mother’s frustration over the lack of options for her child, you can feel confident that these snacks are coming from someone who understands.
