“Alert, alert! New Crunchmaster crackers. Must try!” I texted to our Vice President Jennifer North. Fortunately, Jim Garsow from Crunchmaster was part of our gluten-free panel presentation, so I was confident we’d score the goods. Alice even stopped by the Crunchmaster booth to snap a picture of the display.
Now, back at the office, I’m snacking away on the new crackers. They’re similar to the Multi-Seed Crackers many of you know and love; in particular, the light multigrain texture and classic hint of salt are still there. They’d even work ground up for the crunchy topping in our recipe contest winner, Lemon Shiitake Chicken.
But these new additions do have some distinctions. For one, they’re square (the Multi-Seed and Multi-Grain Crackers are hexagons). They also boast a lighter color, but don’t worry, the satisfying crunch is alive and well.
The new 7 Ancient Grains Crackers also add a few newcomers to the mix. Sorghum and millet are listed among the ingredients, along with the rice, flax and sesame that other Crunchmaster crackers include.
Suffice it to say, I could easily plow through a box of these crackers, which could be a problem. You see, we’re running NFCA’s “Dunk” Challenge through the end of the month. It’s a spin on the March Madness tournament bracket that asks “Which dip do you dunk?” And right now, I’d vote for any of them given the dip delivery tools sitting in front of me (that would be the crackers).
It’s a good problem to have, I admit. And you can ponder the same quandary soon enough, as Crunchmaster 7 Ancient Grains Crackers will be arriving in natural food stores soon. In the meantime, vote for your favorite dip in the “Dunk” Challenge, and download one of our brand new Activities for Awareness, print-and-play games that teach kids how to stay healthy and gluten-free. (Does that count as a Hot Product, too?)
